Still Waiting

My assignment for today:

Philippians 4:6-7 (NIV)
6Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

I'm praying today that HS of ours comes through soon, and fighting the anxious feeling I get at the thought of A* having to wait any longer. I'm believing and trusting in God's timing while I wait on Him.

That was EXACTLY the verse I needed to hear today. We sent our dossier off of January 22 and first it was delayed at our agency and then it was delayed by our gigantic snowstorm in DC where it should have been authenticated and now I just don't even know where it is and my heart is just crying, "GOD PLEASE!!!!!" I just want a court date and to bring my girl home. Patience. Peace. Patience. Peace.

One of my memory verses that I'm working on this week has been giving me comfort in regard to waiting. Colossians 1:17

"He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together."

Even though I feel like I'm about to fall apart from waiting sometimes, it's good for me to remember that it is Christ that holds all things together.

I often comfort myself with the knowledge that long-suffering, patience and peace are but a few of the supernatural gifts born of His presence and work in us, and through us. We can have joy in the waiting, knowing that a far greater weight of glory is working just beyond our view.

God's richest blessings as you rest in Him!
