Red Letters Campaign- Tentative Dates

Well, we got our tentative dates for travel today. Nov. 30 - Dec 6. Dustin and I will be leaving earlier than that so I am not sure what our actual dates of travel will be, but this is the jumping off point. We are really excited to meet all the families in our travel group. Just over 6 weeks till travel if everything goes well in court. PLEASE PRAY to that end. Our son will have been in institutional care for over half his life by then. That reality makes me cry!!!!

Travel still feels far away but I know with the holidays approaching it will fly by. Dustin and I might be traveling during Thanksgiving. That will be interesting! Airfare is more expensive around the holidays which leaves us feeling less than thrilled about costs and crowds. I checked today and a return flight home in Business Class would cost $5343.37 for me and Dustin and the baby riding on our laps (they do charge for babies BTW) that's a little too steep for us. So looks like it'll be coach all the way for us.

I still haven't gotten around to posting on the New Kids concert. I will do that soon. It was a blast :)

I am so happy for you. You will get there in no time. Wow the time goes by fast for sure. I can not wait to see pictures of you and your little one.

Business class would be a wonderful luxury for those long flights, to be sure! I would have LOVED that...I can't sleep on planes, so the chance to *try* would have been a trip saver for me. Too bad!

However, travel in early December is usually fairly cheap...after Thanksgiving & before Christmas ...so maybe you guys could get in on that action, if you aren't able to go over earlier for whatever reason.

I know what you mean about time in institutional care. It broke my heart knowing Abel was there...for so very long. He was a year old when he came home - a tough pill for my mommy heart to digest! It still makes me sad (actual even more than it did before I knew him...now that I know him...well...it's just a bit sadder). Anyway, I feel for you and pray you can speed to your baby boy just as soon as possible!

This is a happy and exciting time. I hope all goes well in this last stretch of the marathon! God speed!

Love,
Erica

While I am so very sad that we won't get to travel with you, I'm totally stoked about being able to welcome you home! Can't wait to see you coming down that hallway holding your son!

Suz,

We have a court date between now and then for custody of Jonas. Our agency won't tell us when it is but onlt after we have passed. If we pass the court then we will be able to travel on the dates above. Once we pass then Jonas is legally our in ET and we can post his pics all over the world if we want to ! I can't wait to show off our handsome little guy as soon as possible.
